Brother LC123 Ink Cartridge Replacement Tutorial

 Follow the steps below to replace the Brother LC123 ink cartridge :

NOTE: Illustrations below are from a representative product and may vary from your own Brother machine.

 

1. Open the ink cartridge cover. If one or more cartridges are empty, for example Black, the machine display shows  Print Print. B&W only.  or  Impr. B&W 1 side only. or  Impr. impossible .
2. Press the release lever as shown to release the color cartridge indicated on the machine's display. Remove the cartridge from the device.
 





3. Open the ink cartridge package for the color shown on the machine's screen, and then remove the ink cartridge.
 
4. Turn the green release lever on the orange protective packaging (1) counterclockwise until it clicks to release the seal. Then remove the orange protective packaging as shown.
 
 





 

Do not touch the cartridge on the area indicated by a 2 in the illustration above; this could prevent the machine from recognizing the cartridge.

 
5. Each color has its own position. Insert the cartridge in the direction of the arrow on the label.
 



 

6. Gently push the cartridge over the "PUSH" mark until it clicks, then close the ink compartment cover.

7. Check the color of the replaced ink cartridge according to the instructions on the machine's screen. The machine will automatically reset the ink dot counter.
